Guardian Angel Pin

Supplies:

3" round Battenburg doily
2" square Battenburg doily
One 1/2" wooden mushroom button
One mini rose
3" of gold chenille stem
Pin back
Floral wire
Powdered blush
Low temp glue gun and glue stick

Instructions:

  1. Fold three loops of the round doily to the front of the doily and crease (see diagram A). 
  2. Fold in each side towards the center front to form a pleat for the angel body. (see diagram B). Glue in place. 
  3. Pinch and gather the center of the square doily to form the wings. Secure the gathers with the wire. Glue the wings to the top edge on the back of the body. 
  4. Glue the mushroom button head to the body and wings. Rub a small dot of powdered blush for the cheeks, using a Q-tip. Blow off the excess blush. 
  5. Cut 1 & 1/2" from the gold chenille stem. Twist the ends together to form a halo. Glue the halo to the back of the head and flatten to fit the head. 
  6. Glue the rose at the neck of the angel. 
  7. Glue the pin to the back of the angel wings.
